December 30, 2011
I’m excited to announce that Monday, January 9, I’ll be hosting a jobs fair at Worcester State University. This is my second jobs fair and, like the first I hosted with Roxbury Community College this past October, this is an opportunity for a wide variety of Massachusetts employers to meet and interview the Commonwealth’s many talented job seekers. At our first jobs fair, 2000 local job seekers came out to meet with employers that represented a cross-section of Massachusetts’ industries. The Worcester jobs fair will most certainly bring the same kind of enthusiasm and attention to job growth at home, with about 60 employers in attendance, representing the same broad range of job diversity.
Since I was elected, I’ve traveled across Massachusetts to listen to job seekers, small businesses owners, and other employers. The Commonwealth has tremendous potential for job creation, and I believe by working together, we can take steps to get unemployed Bay Staters back to work.
Please feel free to pass along news about the jobs fair by forwarding this email to family and friends
