Read the gift of liberalism Be sure to click on some of the links within Michelle Malkin’s tweets. I think Alec Baldwin’s face statements are hateful enough in their own right for you to evaluate him without clicking links; but do so if you desire.
On a personal note, as the brother of a sister murdered at the age of 23, I can honestly say that the risk of executing one innocent person is not worth the reward of vengence that the death penalty brings. My sisters killer has spent nearly 40 years at the MCI and will remain there for the rest of his life. Every moment I spend with my wife, my children, my grand-children or extended family members and friends, I feel a satisfaction knowing that the animal who took my sister’s life will never experience the joy I feel at those moments. Every holiday where family and friends gather to celebrate both the holiday and each other, I feel content in knowing that murderer is surrounded by other murderers, rapists, thieves and child molesters unable to appreciate or to celebrate the accomplishments and the creations of mankind with those who matter most.
However I feel, in my mind, Alec Baldwin’s comments are hate-filled, bigoted, and well beyond what should be accepted in a civilized society. His comments, in my mind are so violent and beyond acceptability, he is closer to the perpetrator of a crime than the victim and he deserves whatever scorn and ridicule come his way.
