The interview was a good introduction but very short on specifics as to what needs to be done to balance the budget, how we attract new business while hitting them with maximum tax rates, how to keep residents in their homes and in town while continually raising property taxes, and how we plan to move into the future with our present infrastructure. To be fair to Mr. Gagliardi, I’ve heard no answers to any of these issues with any concreteness from any of our currently serving members. Hopefully, as April approaches, we’ll begin to see one bright star emerge who truly deserves a seat on the Board of Selectmen and the title of town leader. Perhaps that star will be Mr. Gagliardi or Mr. Marasco or through some miracle, both.
