Dear Fellow Navy Leaguers,

The purpose of this e-mail is to ask for as many Navy Leaguers as possible to contact their Representatives and Senators (as a constituent) this month or the beginning of April to influence them to oppose the FY2011 proposed budget reductions for the Coast Guard.

The Coast Guard, as all of us know so well, provides an invaluable service to the nation and its budget should not be cut. Please write a letter to your Representatives and Senators, and call them if possible, asking them to not let the proposed USCG cuts stand. Do this as a constituent instead of as a Navy Leaguer, since we are also sending letters to Congress this week from National on the same subject. The proposed letter for you to send below captures the major points from our letter. I suggest sending the letter to the local and DC offices.
