Dear Fellow Republicans:
Last month the people of Massachusetts sent a message to Washington, D.C. with the election of Senator Scott Brown.
That message was the following: stop the massive spending, stop the big-government agenda, and stop radical health care reform.
President Obama’s health care proposal released today would shift significant costs towards the states and force them to increase taxes. When we already have 97% of citizens of the Commonwealth insured, why should we subsidize coverage expansions for other states?
Today, I urge you to sign a petition by the Republican National Committee to tell President Obama and his Democrat allies to start over on health care reform and work with Republicans to craft sensible, bi-partisan legislation.
Just like we stood up for Senator Brown, we must stand up for the policies we care about and support our great Massachusetts Republican candidates in 2010.
The time is NOW to activate and get connected. Please contact us at info@massgop.com to get involved with your local Republican town, city, or ward committee. As the Boston Globe noted this weekend, local Republican organizations are quickly expanding!
Thanks for being a part of the Massachusetts Republican team. [Yeah, yeah...you're welcome ]

SCOTT BROWN LEARNS THE ROPES
He was the principle author of that milestone legislation that put yet another dagger into the heart of free speech, Mc-Cain-Feingold. He’s the Presidential contender who, among all the anti-nanny state, small government, low tax Republicans available, chose the intensely unprepared, deer in the head lights, aerobatic wolf killer, Sara Palin as his Vice President. He’s the same United States Senator who wanted to award amnesty to a 2nd and even larger wave of illegal immigrants simply because so many of them broke the law that it would be too costly to actually enforce the law. Didn’t he vote run back from the campaign trail to vote FOR the stimulus bill that – in Senator Scott Brown’s words – created NO jobs? He speaks of his vast experience, and yet, he claims to have been misled into supporting the bailout. Was he misled, too senile to avoid manipulation, or just too much of a pragmatist to hold firm to his so called Federalist beliefs? In either case, once saddling up this pony, Scott demonstrated that he’s willing to ride any horse that will carry him and principles are of little import once in office.
But even more egregious, this is the same John McCain who said to the majority of Americans, including those who support the Republican Party, who were against McCain-Feingold, and who were against illegal immigrant amnesty and the attendant chain immigration (anchor babies) that follows -[ paraphrasing old John] “tough, go screw yourself. I believe it’s the right thing to do and I will do whatever I can to make it happen no matter what you think or want!” This is the same John McCain who believes that illegal immigrants should get basic Constitutional rights as well as taxpayer funds to feed, cloth, house and educate them (except on the subject of English) without complaint, even though they are crossing the border by the millions, having children here and then using them as anchors to bring over, legally, their entire families.
Now, it seems that Senator Brown is going to vote to take $15,000,000,000.00 of taxpayer money and redistribute it to those who haven’t earned it under the guise of a jobs bill. Scott, if the 750 billion dollars didn’t create any jobs outside of government, what is 15 billion going to do? You speak with forked tongue. What is the small government side getting in return? Nothing. I guess he didn’t hear Glen Beck’s rare lucid comment about Republicans fessing up, confessing their addiction to spending and seeking rehabilitation and lessons in self-discipline. Remember that phrase – self-discipline? It was the same phrase the Dahli Lama used when discussing Tiger Woods’ failure to remain faithful to his wife and to blame his troubles on an “addiction”.
We may have changed bodies occupying former Senator Ted Kennedy’s seat. We may have even changed parties that sit in that seat. But, the odor emanating from that seat still stinks and speaks loudly to the sin of accepting pragmatists disguised as classic liberals in the mold of a Thomas Jefferson; yet mistakes the always immoral altruism as a virtue. The only benefit I can see is that he’s no worse than Martha Coakley would have been, but I find little solace in that knowledge.
