BILLERICA — Selectmen last night agreed to renew liquor licenses for all current license holders, contingent upon their passing annual fire-alarm and sprinkler tests.

I guess, from the Selectmen’s point of view;  it is always important to protect alcohol sellers from fire damage and injury.  Perhaps, one day they’ll decide the same holds true for school children and speak out against egregious school committee failures.
