President Barak Obama is due to attend the later sessions of a hearing on global warming to sign the Coppenhagen Accord, the successor to the Kyoto Treaty in December of this year. Before that event occurs, however, you may want to review a few recently uncovered circumstances that cast a bit of doubt on the transparency of global warming science and the Obama Administration leanings as exemplified through its control over the U.S. Envioronmental Protection Agency (EPA)
The Competitive Enterprise Institute (CEI) is petitioning the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency to delay its decision regarding the regulation of green house gases, (“Request for Reopening of the Record and Extension of the Comment Period, Re: Proposed Endangerment and Cause or Contribute Findings for Greenhouse Gases Under Section 202(a) of the Clean Air Act, Docket ID No. EPA-HQ-OAR-2009-0171″)
From an article that can be found on the Competitive Enterprise Institute (CEI) website, dated October 6, 2009:
In mid-August the University of East Anglia’s Climate Research Unit (CRU) disclosed that it had destroyed the raw data for its global surface temperature data set because of an alleged lack of storage space. The CRU data have been the basis for several of the major international studies that claim we face a global warming crisis. CRU’s destruction of data, however, severely undercuts the credibility of those studies.
And from a Canada Free Press article dated November 21, 2009 we now have a revelation of data falsification from top scientists at the same East Anglia’ Climate Research Institute):
Someone hacked in to the files of the Climatic Research Unit (CRU) based at the University of East Anglia. A very large file (61 mb) was downloaded and posted to the web. Phil Jones Director of the CRU has acknowledged the files are theirs. They contain papers, documents letters and emails. The latter are the most damaging and contain blunt information about the degree of manipulation of climate science in general and the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change in particular.
Climate science hijacked and corrupted by this small group of scientists; dominant names involved are ones I have followed throughout my career including, Phil Jones, Benjamin Santer, Michael Mann, Kevin Trenberth, Jonathan Overpeck, Ken Briffa and Tom Wigley. I (Dr. Tim Ball) have watched climate science hijacked and corrupted by this small group of scientists. This small, elite, community was named by Professor Wegman in his report to the National Academy of Science (NAS).
Considering the trillions of dollars that we are already in debt and the trillions more the Coppenhagen Accord will bind us to pay, I thought you may want to be aware of some recent and disturbing facts about the “science” of global warming based upon the behavior of what many consider the world’s NASA equivalent for climate science.
