Phoenix Arizona recently hosted a teacher “conference” at a 4 star resort that cost all of us (the funds came from a Federal grant) nearly $1,000,000.00. How did we benefit? Here’s an excerpt from “ABC15.com

We found one teacher by the pool who told us her district spent more than $900 to send her.

“I felt guilty because the one (class) I paid for yesterday was $40,” she said.

She then told us she didn’t even go.

We met another teacher who spent about five hours by the pool. His superintendent was at the conference and seemed to have no problem with one of his employees cooling off at your expense.

Your tax dollars also paid for friends and family to enjoy the resort.

LAKE OZARK, Mo. – An NBC Action News hidden camera investigation uncovered a high dollar retreat held by the Kansas City School District at a resort more than three hours from Kansas City.

I counted as many as 96 missing and late enrolled teachers and principals at one point during seminars at resort conferences which are budgeted to cost at least $170,836.25, according to district records we obtained.

We are reading about teachers, aren’t we? You know, that group of people so mistreated, over worked and under paid that they are compelled to resort to socialism by forming and joining unions. As a member of a union, they can hide their individual miscreant behavior under the guise of the collective, and they can use the collective to make unreasonable demands and to under perform by holding the futures of children – their students – hostage. Contrary to being pillars of responsibility, the teachers, in these cases, are no more than looters and thugs deserving a place in the unemployment line. Want to bet on most, if not all, are tenured and can’t be fired?
