Massachusetts wants taxes for products sold in other states, but used in Massachusetts. It is in the midst of an ongoing battle with New Hampshire, and is in court fighting business for the right to gain information about business transactions with residents of the Commonwealth and out of State vendors to identify scofflaws.

Ever since I’ve heard about the “use tax”, I’ve wondered why the Commonwealth doesn’t charge renters a “use tax” similar to the property tax charged to property owners. They are, after all, using the property to live in. In my case, my home is in Massachusetts, but it was constructed in Pennsylvania. It’s definitely from out of state. Should people who rent it pay a monthly “use tax” or should they be hit with a lump sum “sales tax” of 6.5% of the entire current day value of the home?

Don’t worry all of you freeloading looters; no one will be charged a “use tax” as a renter. After all, they are the ones we are building and enduring the hideous 40B projects for. They are the lame, the lazy, the drug and alcohol addled, the criminal, and the illegal residents of this nation who have been promised a free ride on the backs of taxpaying citizens like you. In fact, that sentiment has been promised by many of you through your choice of candidates and hatred for the successful.

You are the achievement bigots; those who envy success and attack it because of your own incompetence and inadequacies at achieving it on your own. You are generally a member of a collective, like a labor union, and rarely, if ever, an individualist who stands or falls on his own merits or lack of them.

There is a saying that you get what you pay for, and that is true in most instances. However, you never get what you pay for when it comes to government services, which is why one should always strive to pay less. Care to join me on a shopping spree across the border? We can even spend the night and dine out to avoid the pending hotel and service tax hikes that are also about to be signed into law.
